Doosan Air Compressor Warranty Information
Doosan does offer a warranty on their air compressors. Each one is backed by one of three types of warranties. If there are manufacturer defects in material or workmanship, there is a 12-month warranty from the date of shipment to the user, 2,000 hours of service by the user, or 18 months from the date of delivery to the factory or distributor.
If you should need to use the warranty, they will provide you with a new or repaired part that may be found upon inspection of your air compressor. The part will be replaced at no cost to you.
The warranty does not, however, cover the following:
- Misuse, abuse, negligent repairs, erosion, corrosion, normal wear and tear, or alterations.
- Failure to follow the recommended operating procedures as stated in the supplied publications.
Engine Warranty
The engine itself is also covered under warranty, but only on certain models. If there are defects in the material and workmanship within 24-months following shipment to the user, 4,000 service hours by the user, or 30-months following shipment to the factory or distributor, they will cover you.
Limited Corrosion Warranty
Doosan offers customers a limited corrosion warranty for a period of 60-months following the date of shipment to the user, 10,000 service hours by the user, or 66-months from the date of shipment to the factory or distributor. This warranty is limited to the corrosion of the canopy, exterior sheet metal, and belly pans.
Airends
There is also a warranty for the airends to ensure they are free from manufacturer defects. This is covered for 24-months following the date of shipment to the user, 4,000 service hours by the user, or 30-months following the date of shipment to the factory or distributor.
The warranty includes replacement of the airend as long as it is returned unopened and assembled.

Typical Doosan Air Compressor Error Codes
With new technology comes error codes. We see them on everyday items such as video game consoles, cell phones, websites, and more. There are some common error codes that come with your Doosan air compressor which are the fault code 29 and the air compressor not starting. Let’s go over why this happens.
Doosan Air Compressor Fault Code 29
When the Doosan air compressor throws this code, it has now shut the engine down without any user input and there was no Engine Diagnostic Code detected. Why did this happen? This is a fault condition and it shuts down the compressor. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Check The Fuel System for Restrictions
If there are dirty fuel filters that have yet to be changed since the last service, change them. If you used dirty fuel, add clean fuel, and replace the filters. If air is present in the fuel system, bleed it out. Lastly, if the fuel hoses are damaged, replace them.
Step 2: Check Battery Terminals, Starter, and Alternator
If there are loose connections on the harness or they are damaged, repair as needed.
Step 3: Turn Key switch to any ON Position to Energize the Compressors Electronic System & Use a Multimeter to Measure Key switch Signal Voltage at P1-2
The voltage meter should read 12 VDC at P1-2. If it doesn’t, check that all of the connections on the harness to the key switch signal circuit are intact.
Step 4: If Steps 1-4 Are OK, Refer to The Engine Manufacturer Service Dealer
Doosan Air Compressor Won’t Start
There are quite a few things that could make your Doosan portable air compressor not start. Here are some of the most common reasons:
Completely Dead: Check the battery. Check if the battery isolation switch is on. Make sure a safety switch hasn’t been tripped.
Doesn’t Crank: If the compressor doesn’t crank, ensure a safety switch has not been tripped. Check electrical connections and make sure the safety switch isn’t pressed.
Cranks But Won’t Start (Diesel): A diesel engine needs compression and fuel to start. Check the fuel system. If there is fuel in the tank, replace the filter.
Pump, prime, pump. Vent low-pressure and high-pressure fuel system to remove air, check out stop solenoid, and speed setting. Sometimes the stop solenoid can have a dirty valve or it breaks down. This cuts off the fuel and stops the engine from working.
