Air compressors with the term “noise reduction” are supposed to have a low decibel rating. The lower the number, the quieter the compressor is going to be. Generally, an air compressor will put out about 50-100 decibels of sound, but in order for it to be deemed as “quiet”, it has to only put out 50-80 decibels.
